The 82 DAC is the most powerful integrated amplifier. Equipped with a comprehensive set of digital and analog inputs, it allows you to connect virtually any source or output directly to your speakers. This potent amplifier has a gripping, direct “hold” on even the most imposing speakers. Thanks to carefully tuned components and our unique circuit configuration, the 82 DAC provides a crystal-clear window into recordings, revealing levels of musical detail and complexity that lesser amplifiers fail to reach.

Design Philosophy

The 82 DAC and its smaller sibling, the 6 DAC, were designed to serve as the central platform for your entire audio system. The goal was to create a system that is user-friendly, straightforward, and refined. This highly capable amplifier comes with the comprehensive iR14 remote control and allows for the connection of nearly all analog and digital sources.

The 82 DAC’s bi-wiring output delivers a substantial 88W into 6 ohms, providing ample power to drive even the most demanding speaker loads. To ensure the highest possible quality, the power supply is high-current and uses two transformers to completely separate the digital control stages from sensitive audio signals – an approach typically reserved for preamplifier/power amplifier combinations.

The 82 DAC incorporates a high-performance 24/192 DAC with optical and coaxial inputs, and a driverless USB port for plug-and-play connectivity with a PC or laptop. Upgraded to the “Qx” specification for the 32-bit upsampling DAC model used in the XP Signature DAC.
