ATI AT4007 Power Amplifier: The Ultimate Power for Your Audio System
ATI, the manufacturer of the Ati AT4007 power amplifier, is renowned for the exceptional quality of its amplifiers. All ATI amplifiers are designed, manufactured, and assembled in their Los Angeles, California factory, ensuring a genuine made in USA product. This manufacturing approach allows them to maintain total quality control and offer high-end amplifiers.
The Ati AT4007 power amplifier uses a fully balanced Class A/B design, with two toroidal transformers and independent secondary windings to provide separate power supplies for each channel. This results in stable power and low distortion, ensuring faithful and detailed sound reproduction.
Remarkable Power
The Ati AT4007 power amplifier is capable of delivering a true power of 200 W per channel into 8 Ω and up to 300 W per channel into 4 Ω in Class AB. This generous power effortlessly drives demanding speakers and allows you to enjoy powerful and dynamic sound, whether listening to music or experiencing an immersive cinematic experience.
ATI’s 4000 series amplifiers are known for their rated power of 200 W RMS from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum THD of only 0.03% into 8 ohms, all channels driven. Into 4 Ω, the rated power reaches 300 W RMS under the same conditions. These remarkable performance figures make ATI one of the few manufacturers to comply with the very strict FTC measurement standard. Additionally, the signal-to-noise ratio of - 126 dB at full power ensures reproduction of the full dynamic range of today’s high-definition recordings.
Balanced Design for Better Performance
ATI’s Signature series amplifiers, which include the AT4007, use a balanced circuit configuration. This design approach offers many benefits, including a 50% reduction in noise. By using current feedback rather than voltage feedback, Signature series amplifiers can respond faster, with virtually unlimited slew rate. This allows them to accurately reproduce the most demanding musical and cinematic recordings.
Signature series amplifiers feature ThermalTrak output devices. These integrated devices sense the temperature at the output transistors, allowing real-time bias adjustment. Combined with dual DC servos, they reduce DC offset at the output to insignificant levels. This advanced technology ensures optimal performance and long-term durability for your Ati AT4007 amplifier.
Rigorous Construction and Unique Testing Procedure
Each ATI amplifier undergoes a rigorous testing procedure to ensure its quality and reliability. From the circuit board assembly stage, a thorough visual inspection is performed to ensure the quality of the components used. The circuit boards are then tested for each function and parameter, ensuring proper operation.
Once the printed circuit boards are installed in the amplifier, it is placed on a “torture” rack to simulate extreme conditions and detect any potential component failures. Finally, the amplifier undergoes critical listening and a final functional test to ensure optimal performance.
ATI places great importance on the quality of the components used. The gain stages of ATI amplifiers use high-quality metal film resistors with a 1% tolerance, ensuring high precision and optimal stability.
Connectivity and Practical Features
The Ati AT4007 amplifier has a complete set of connectors on the rear of the unit. There is an unbalanced RCA input and a balanced XLR input, offering great flexibility for connecting your audio sources. An input selection switch allows you to easily choose between different sources. Additionally, each channel is equipped with a pair of gold-plated speaker outputs, providing a reliable and high-quality connection.
The AT4007 amp features a proprietary soft-start circuit that prevents power surges when turning on the unit. This protects both the amplifier and your speakers from potential damage. Furthermore, a trigger is available to automatically turn on the amplifier when triggered by your preamplifier.
