The Hisense 120L5HA is an innovative 4K ultra short throw projector from the Chinese brand Hisense. This model stands out with its unique design, blending the features of a television and a traditional projector. It consists of a 4K laser projector and a 3.05-meter diagonal anti-reflective projection screen.

Innovative Laser Technology

At the heart of the Hisense 120L5HA is a DLP projector utilizing a laser light source. This technology, dubbed “X-Fusion” by the manufacturer, achieves a maximum brightness of 2700 lumens. This is more than sufficient to enjoy a bright and high-contrast image, even in a lit room, especially since the provided screen is anti-reflective.

Thanks to its ultra short throw optical architecture, the Hisense 120L5HA projector requires only 35 cm of distance to project a 120-inch image. It can thus be placed on a piece of furniture in front of the screen like a television, greatly facilitating its integration. A proximity sensor automatically reduces the laser power if an obstacle is detected in front of the lens, preventing any risk of glare.

The laser source’s lifespan is estimated at a minimum of 25,000 hours, far exceeding that of a traditional projector lamp. Additionally, the light output remains stable throughout this lifespan.

Image Quality

The 4K DLP matrix of the Hisense 120L5HA can display an Ultra HD resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Coupled with the precision of the laser source, it delivers a highly detailed image with striking clarity.

This laser projector is compatible with HDR10 and HLG to make the most of HDR sources like 4K Ultra HD movies and series. It covers 107% of the DCI-P3 color space, ensuring rich and vibrant colors that surpass those of televisions. An MEMC (motion compensation) image processing ensures great fluidity in action scenes.

An ALR Screen Optimized for Ultra Short Throw Projection

The 120-inch screen included with the Hisense 120L5HA projector is specially designed for ultra short throw projection. Its surface is treated to reject ambient light and only reflect light from the projector. This maintains high contrast and vibrant colors, even in a lit room.

This screen can be wall-mounted using the provided mounting system. With only 3.5 cm thickness, it integrates very discreetly. Its frame is particularly thin for a highly immersive visual experience.

Comprehensive Smart TV Features

The Hisense 120L5HA Laser TV comes with the Vidaa U system, providing access to numerous streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Prime Video, etc. Additional apps can be downloaded from the online store.

Connectivity includes four HDMI 2.1 inputs, one with eARC audio return channel, two USB ports, an optical digital audio output, and an Ethernet port. The Laser TV is also equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless communication with other devices. It is even possible to stream content from a smartphone or tablet.

A triple TV tuner is integrated to receive TNT, cable, and satellite channels. The recording function allows you to save programs on a USB drive. Live control is also included to pause and resume watching a show.

Immersive Dolby Atmos Sound

Despite its slim design, the Hisense 120L5HA projector includes a Dolby Atmos soundbar. With its two 15W speakers, it delivers powerful and immersive sound, far beyond what is usually expected from a projector. Several listening modes are available to suit the type of program.

Of course, it is possible to connect the Laser TV to an external home theater system via the optical audio output or the HDMI eARC port for a more enveloping surround sound.
