Onkyo PR-SC5508

The PR-SC5508 is a Home Cinema preamp/processor, the ideal partner for the PA-MC5500, a power amplifier with 9 channels of 220 W. It is THX Ultra 2 Plus certified, the highest THX quality standard.

It features an HDMI 1.4a interface (8 inputs) and is therefore 3D compatible. This interface is connected to an advanced REON-VX video processing system, and offers ISF standard video calibration. A 1080p upscaling function is of course present.

Audio is not neglected either, as Onkyo uses a 32-bit DSP processor and six Burr-Brown PCM1795 192 kHz / 32-bit DAC converters. In addition to ensuring compatibility with high-definition FLAC files and HD audio formats from Blu-ray discs, these components allow upsampling of sound from DVDs or CDs for better sound quality.
