The AV7702mkII preamplifier is extremely versatile. It flawlessly handles all forms of high-resolution multichannel audio formats. It features numerous network capabilities, such as audio streaming, Internet radio, Spotify Connect, and AirPlay. It even has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions. The AV7702mkII can reproduce superb surround sound quality from the latest audio formats, guaranteed by a powerful 32-bit SHARC DSP that ensures channel separation, thus avoiding any crosstalk.
Audio formats include the latest Dolby Atmos, DTS:X (via a firmware update planned for later this year), and Auro-3D (optional paid upgrade) decoding technologies, which deliver breathtaking surround sound and open the door to 3D audio. The DSP is supported by a high-quality 192 kHz/32-bit digital-to-analog converter. The 11.2-channel AV7702mkII enhances audio quality by optimally processing all signals via Marantz HDAM preamplifiers in a feedback topology before transferring them to the high-quality 11.2 XLR or 13.2 RCA outputs to the power blocks.
The AV7702mkII also processes all video signals via the eight 60 Hz 4k HDMI pass-through/upscaling inputs and sends them to two of the HDMI outputs or the third dedicated to multi-room playback. All support the HDCP2.2 standard for copy-protected UHD 4k content. It even has a moving magnet (MM) phono input - ideal for your precious vinyl records. Setup and operation are quick and easy thanks to the Audyssey MultEQ auto-calibration system and the high-resolution graphical user interface.

Good preamp but unfortunately it has an MP3-like sound quality...
Pros: precision.
Cons: lacks finesse.
