Focal Theva N°3-D Pack: 3D sound compatible with Dolby Atmos

The Focal Theva N°3-D pack is the perfect set for cinema and music enthusiasts. It consists of a 5.0 system including a pair of Theva N°3-D floorstanding speakers, a Theva Center speaker, and two Theva N°1 bookshelf speakers.

Thanks to its upward-firing speaker, sound waves are reflected off the ceiling to reproduce Dolby Atmos 3D sound effects. For an immersive cinematic experience, you can add a Focal SUB600 or SUB1000 subwoofer as well as Theta surround speakers on the wall. With this pack, you’ll be at the heart of the action for a breathtaking cinematic experience. Music is also showcased thanks to the precision and naturalness of each note’s reproduction.

TNF Aluminum/Magnesium Tweeter

Focal has integrated two major advancements in the TNF aluminum/magnesium tweeter to improve its performance. First, the suspension connecting the dome to its support has been upgraded using an innovative material called Poron, which has shape memory. This suspension is directly derived from the famous Utopia Beryllium tweeter, and it significantly reduces distortion in the ear’s high sensitivity zone between 2000 Hz and 3000 Hz. In fact, this technology allows for a threefold reduction in distortion.

Second, to improve the spatialization and directivity of the inverted dome, Focal has developed a waveguide. This technology considerably enhances the tweeter’s directivity, which is significantly superior to that of the conventional positive dome used by competitors. Thanks to this technology, the frequency response is maintained within a range of only +/- 0.5 dB in the horizontal plane. This performance guarantees an incredibly stable soundstage and is less critical in terms of ideal listening position.

Slatefiber Membrane

Slatefiber technology, a Focal exclusive made in France, involves using non-woven recycled carbon fibers sandwiched between two layers of thermoplastic polymer. In pursuit of perfection, Focal engineers have chosen to use non-woven carbon fibers all oriented in the same direction to achieve even greater rigidity, better damping, and lightness - the three “essentials” of a good speaker.

Design and Finishes

Focal has successfully combined design and sound quality in its creations by magnifying sound through meticulous finishes. The Theva line, available in three finishes - Black, Dark Wood, and Light Wood - enhances the speakers. The wood effect on the sides, available in dark or light, adds warmth and harmoniously blends with other materials such as metal, concrete, or stone, while adapting to both classic and modern interiors. The black finish, on the other hand, brings a touch of timelessness and sophistication.

To offer an optimal sound experience, the cabinets have been redesigned for greater compactness, the front panels have been improved for perfect rendering and increased robustness. The speakers are surrounded by metallic and screen-printed rings, the port has been positioned at the rear for sleek front panels, while the bases and grilles have been carefully chosen for each model, creating a perfect harmony.
