The Mini-Stratus Power Cord by Wireworld is a power cable designed to optimize the performance of your hi-fi system. With a length of one meter, it offers a tailored solution to enhance the electrical supply to your audio devices, contributing to precise and balanced sound reproduction.
The Mini-Stratus Power Cord incorporates Wireworld’s patented Fluxfield technology, an innovation that sets it apart from conventional power cables. This technology employs a unique internal structure aimed at minimizing electromagnetic interference and optimizing current flow. The result is a cleaner, more stable power supply for your audio devices, leading to improved sound clarity and reduced background noise.
The Mini-Stratus conductors are made from high-purity oxygen-free copper (OFC) with a 15 AWG (1.4 mm²) gauge. This choice of material and size ensures excellent conductivity while providing enough flexibility for easy installation. The quality of the copper used contributes to more efficient current transmission, allowing your devices to perform at their full potential.
Using the Mini-Stratus Power Cord can bring significant improvements to the sound quality of your audio system. Users often report enhanced clarity and definition, particularly noticeable in the high frequencies. Treble gains finesse and precision without becoming harsh or fatiguing to listen to.
In the midrange, the Mini-Stratus enhances instrument and vocal separation. The soundstage becomes wider and deeper, offering a more precise and immersive stereo image. Low frequencies also benefit from the improved power supply, with faster response and better control, resulting in more defined and articulate bass.
While primarily designed for high-end audio systems, the Mini-Stratus Power Cord is versatile enough to be used with a variety of electronic devices. It is particularly beneficial for sensitive components such as preamplifiers, DACs (digital-to-analog converters), and network players.
The cable is also compatible with devices using a figure-8 (IEC C7) power connection. To facilitate its use with these devices, Wireworld provides a 90-degree angled adapter, allowing for more flexible installation, especially in tight spaces.
The Mini-Stratus features Wireworld’s proprietary Composilex 2 insulation material. This advanced insulation plays a crucial role in reducing interference and stabilizing the electrical signal. Composilex 2 is designed to absorb and dissipate unwanted vibrations that can affect current quality, contributing to more precise and detailed sound reproduction.
The connectors of the Mini-Stratus are made from silver-plated copper alloy. This choice of material for the contacts ensures a high-quality connection with minimal resistance, enabling optimal energy transfer between the wall outlet and your audio equipment. The connector design also incorporates Wireworld’s Globe-Grip technology, which makes handling easier and ensures a secure, stable connection.
Like many high-end audio cables, the Mini-Stratus can benefit from a break-in period. Typically, continuous use for 50 to 100 hours allows the cable to reach its optimal performance.
The Mini-Stratus is particularly beneficial for sensitive audio devices such as preamplifiers and DACs. However, it can be used with any audio device requiring a standard mains power supply.
Absolutely. Using multiple Mini-Stratus cables in your audio chain can provide cumulative improvements to the overall sound quality of your system.
The Mini-Stratus generally offers better build quality, superior materials, and advanced filtering technology compared to standard cables. This translates to potential sound quality improvements and better protection against electrical interference.
Yes, it can be used with components in a home theater system, particularly for critical devices such as AV processors or power amplifiers.
