Ground-Noise Dissipation

AudioQuest’s patented RF/ND-Tech significantly reduces distortion, achieving unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest possible range of radio frequencies. The unique circuit topology employs a common-mode phase-canceling network, combined with proprietary dielectric materials that provide additional linear differential filtering.

PSC+ and LGC Conductors

With only Perfect-Surface+ Copper (PSC+) on the outside, Monsoon’s conductors are essentially all PSC+, even though the core is Long-Grain Copper (LGC). The superior metal and conductor geometry significantly reduce transient intermodulation distortion (TIM) that can cause listener fatigue.

High-Current Transfer

While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance to meet high-current demands, the characteristic impedance of a cable is also crucial for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that shrink or compress an audio transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and ZERO characteristic impedance to deliver uncompressed high-current transients on demand.

Directionality

All drawn metal strands or conductors have a non-symmetrical, and therefore directional, grain structure. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance variation so that noise is drained away from where it would cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to each batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. Where applicable, arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior sound quality.
