Overview

The Digi-Coupler 75 Ω is our high-quality digital audio cable, also perfectly suited for high-performance transmission of video or RF signals. Digi-Coupler has been specially designed to maintain the highest possible quality transmission of the 75 Ω impedance digital signal in S/PDIF format for demanding audiophiles at short lengths or for professionals for use in studios and therefore over longer lengths.

Digi-Coupler is characterized first by a constant impedance of 75 Ω with an accuracy of ± 0.5 Ω up to 3 GHz! This guarantees the absence of internal reflections in the cable, signal integrity and consequently a low distortion and jitter rate; the converter thus working in the best possible conditions.

To maintain these favorable conditions, it is advisable not to twist the cable and to always give it a curvature greater than 8 cm in radius.

Digi-Coupler also has a very high bandwidth. This point is of particular importance in the transmission of a signal in S/PDIF format whose frequency extends well beyond the required minimum of 6 MHz and allows the vertical fronts of the emitted signals to retain their rectangular shape and thus be perfectly recognized by the receiver.
Digi-Coupler also offers very low signal attenuation per unit length of cable. It is barely 0.11 dB per meter at 100 MHz! A characteristic that is of particular importance when the use of long cables is necessary and which guarantees compliance with a good signal-to-noise ratio or excellent immunity to external noise.
Digi-Coupler has a triaxial structure, i.e. a coaxial structure itself inserted and insulated in a coaxial structure that constitutes the shielding. A screen consisting of 3 high-density and high-purity silver braided shields, supplemented by a layer of LSC (insulated carbon fibers), forms a barrier to radio frequency or electromagnetic interference (RFI or EMI) and a very low transfer impedance. The whole is protected by a durable Hulliflex sheath.
Digi-Coupler is available by the meter or individually at any length from 0.60 m equipped with either RCA or BNC plugs, gold plated. One end of the cable where the shield is connected to ground is marked with a label.
