EISA Awards: Award-Winning Product

Each year, dozens of European journalists gather to select the best electronic products of the year. Awarded by a diverse and impartial jury, the EISA (Expert Imaging and Sound Association) awards recognize exceptional products for their performance, design, or ergonomics.

Overview

The R600 floor-standing speaker, stylish and affordable, delivers dynamic, full-bodied sound. The two 6.5-inch Turbine cones and one-inch Pinnacle tweeter produce clear, crisp audio for home theater and two-channel listening. Polk’s new Power Port 2.0 technology enhances airflow and ensures powerful bass.

Exceptional Sound and Elegance

The Reserve series, with its compact, refined design, blends into any décor thanks to its minimalist elegance. Equipped with Polk’s superior-quality transducers, the R600 speaker produces exceptional sound that rivals speakers sold at twice the price. Certified for high-resolution audio, the Reserve R600 is designed for today’s two-channel audio listening as well as immersive 3D multichannel sound for movies, sports, and gaming.

Power Port 2.0

Power Port 2.0 is the latest iteration of Polk’s “Power Port” technology, ensuring that airflow from the port produces no unwanted noise. X-port adds a set of specially optimized closed-pipe absorbers to eliminate all undesirable resonances from the port and speaker cabinet. Together, these two technologies combine to form Power Port 2.0, delivering smooth, ultra-detailed sound. Paired with the two 8” woofers, you’ll experience more powerful, tighter bass while minimizing turbulence and port noise.

The Polk Audio Reserve R600 floorstanding speaker offers excellent value for money in the mid-range hi-fi market. It draws heavily from Polk’s flagship Legend series, while offering a significantly lower price thanks to a simpler design (but still of high quality). It competes directly with KEF, Revel, and B&W speakers, which are often sold for €500 to €1,000 more despite delivering similar sound performance.

I chose the R600s to be the main elements of a 5.1.4 home cinema system. They are fantastic. Everything is great. After the break-in period, the sound is excellent. They are neutral, the new Polk tweeter sounds very good, and the R600s have a powerful punch. Female vocals are showcased in an exceptional way.
The speakers have an impression of quality, and they are very beautiful.
Very satisfied with this purchase, perfect for both home cinema and music listening.
