The number 1 in classical music and hi-fi. It is a benchmark in the field of classical music and hi-fi, as well as the distinction it awards to the best devices each year
A new look for the multi-award winning Planar 1. Rega is delighted to introduce the new Planar 1 matte finish. Every aspect of the Planar 1 has been meticulously designed to enhance performance. The Planar 1 uses a custom low-noise 24V synchronous motor to reduce vibration, combined with our handmade RB110 tonearm equipped with our Rega designed ultra-low friction bearings. Rega has added our latest drive belt technology, the EBLT belt, which delivers greater accuracy and improved speed performance. If you’re looking to get back into vinyl and want serious performance that will last you a lifetime, look no further.
All-new RB110 tonearm built with Rega’s newly designed ultra-low friction bearings (patent pending). New bias assembly and integrated arm clip. Includes automatic bias adjustment which eliminates the need for the user to set bias, making this the most “plug & play” turntable Rega has ever made. Ergonomic and redesigned headshell for improved usability and appearance.
The first Rega entry-level turntable to use a 24V AC synchronous motor with a new motor PCB and aluminum pulley offering low noise and improved speed stability.
The Rega Carbon delivers punchy performance with precise bass and balanced tonal control. Its wide tracking pressure range makes it a very tolerant, easy to set up and simple to use cartridge. It has a convenient removable stylus for simple and easy replacement.

Too bad about the speed-changing system.
It's fun at first to change the belt, but in the long run it's annoying; a small switch would have been more practical.

This is my first turntable. I was looking for a no-frills deck and this one delivers. It has everything you really need. I find it a bit hard to judge the sound quality because the turntable is so unobtrusive. It’s connected to a WiiM Ultra, the amp is an Atoll MA-100 and the speakers are Davis Acoustics Matisse. As for the weak points, the RCA cable is fixed to the turntable so you can’t change it, especially for length, and the tonearm is not adjustable (but factory-set).
The advantage with REGA is the accessories available to “upgrade” your turntable.
