Great phono preamp. Very neutral and already very good even without an extra power supply.

Fantastic! I'm rediscovering my vinyl records! Paired with a Rega P8 turntable and Hana SL cartridge, the whole setup is incredibly rich in detail and tonal color.
An unbeatable price and fast delivery as well!

What can be said about this Goldnote PH-10 preamp except that it allowed me to go from a rather timid “hi-fi” sound (compared to the Goldnote) to a well-defined hi-fi sound.
Let me set the scene.
In an 85m³ room, a Yamaha R-N600A amplifier, Monitor Audio Silver 50 7G speakers, a pre-mounted Audio Technica AT-VM740xML/H cartridge, as well as a vintage Denon DP-30L turntable … it works but … it lacks punch.
Initially, the problem seems to come from the Yamaha amp. I’m not saying it isn’t good … but it’s a bit limited in terms of dBs.
On the internet I buy a tiny Chinese preamp, to “explore its possibilities” (it will end up with my nephew) … given its ridiculous price.
It’s better but I still have to increase the dBs too much to get a satisfactory sound … it doesn’t deliver what I was expecting.
Enter the Goldnote PH-10 … and then I discover another world … and I’m not even talking about its “Italian” look … superb design.
A very noticeable gain, acoustics with channels and instruments well separated, not to mention the possibility of connecting a 2nd turntable to it (well, yes … I have a Sony in the attic that … :-) ).
And then, besides being almost plug & play, it is full of adjustment possibilities.
In the end, I can only recommend this little preamp from Goldnote, the PH-10.

This phono amplifier has woken up my turntables and cartridges Rega P3rs / nd5 and Rega P8 / Ania pro.paired with Rega Brio and Focal Aria 926 speakers and with 2 phono inputs i can switch easily between the two. The new sound is more complete...It may be a premium price but is well worth the investment

I replaced my Black Cube SE II with the Gold Note PH-10. I paired it with the external PSU-10 power supply. My Hana ML cartridge was already sounding very good with the BC SE II, but I have to say that with the Gold Note and its dedicated power supply, the sound quality is truly first-rate. More transparency and dynamics. The timbres are more coherent and natural. Everything is better across the whole spectrum. I still changed the original power cable of the power supply for a shorter and higher-quality cable, which brought even more dynamics. Listening has become calmer, less tense. The many adjustment options offered by the PH-10 allow it to be paired with many MM and MC cartridges. I highly recommend this phono preamp which, after a burn-in period of around fifty hours, provides a lot of listening pleasure.

The Gold Note PH-10 and its separate PSU-10 power supply together form a phono preamp that offers two switchable RCA inputs and two permanent outputs, one on RCA and one on XLR, allowing the use of longer cable runs.
It offers extensive options for adjusting equalization curves and impedance. It might perhaps lack capacitance adjustment.
I use these devices at home with two turntables: a Rega P8 and a second Technics SL 1200 G turntable, along with several MM and MC cartridges.
It delivers a dynamic, lively, detailed sound, with a stable and precise soundstage, treble that is never pushed forward, and “warm” bass.
For me, it’s a step up from my previous phono preamp, the AURORASOUND VIDA PRIMA.
Adding the external PSU-10 power supply brings improvements in every sonic aspect.
The PH-10 & PSU-10 combo may not be the most analytical or the most neutral, but it is very pleasant to use and to listen to on a daily basis, for a total price that still seems reasonable to me.

My ears are very satisfied with the result from my setup:
PROJECT EVO AS 12-inch tonearm
ORTOFON CADENZA BLUE cartridge
Acoustic Solid 111 Metal turntable
Clearaudio TT5 tonearm and HANA ML cartridge as a second arm
I also recommend the PSU 5 power supply, since I listened with and without it in a blind test.
With this PH10 plus PSU5 combo, the whole setup becomes superior to a certain LEHMAN Decade preamp (at least that’s my impression).
It’s very musical, fairly analytical, and comfortable in the bass, with good control.

Very beautiful musicality
the various adjustment settings to adapt to different cartridges are simple, and the display screen is superb (compared to the switches on other products).
Having 2 phono inputs can be a real plus (for example when changing/selling a turntable).

The Gold Note PH-10 is a refined and extremely versatile phono preamp, delivering a warm, detailed, and highly musical sound. Paired with a Rega Planar 6 fitted with a low-output Rega Ania Pro MC cartridge, it offers a lively presentation with deep, tight bass, a spacious soundstage, and a rich analog texture, while maintaining excellent instrument separation.
The adjustable EQ curve and impedance settings allow precise matching to the cartridge in use for consistently optimal results. The XLR output reveals a higher level of finesse and fluidity, with greater silence and depth.
Adding the external PSU-10 power supply brings a substantial improvement across all aspects of the sound: definition clearly steps up, microdynamics become more expressive, and timbre gains in naturalness and coherence. The PH-10 + PSU-10 combo forms a genuinely high-level pairing, capable of competing with far more expensive preamps.
A highly musical, refined, and upgradable setup, ideal for elevating a turntable like the Rega Planar 6.

Outstanding—gave my system a major sonic upgrade and it looks great too. I also recommend the power supply to go with it.

Excellent product, like the entire Gold Note range in general. Paired with a Vasari “Snibata” MM cartridge. I am absolutely satisfied with the sound quality—detailed across the entire frequency range, never becoming fatiguing to listen to, even for extended periods. Its ease of use makes it a highly recommended phono preamp at a very affordable price.

A product with numerous settings that allow for optimal adjustment of the turntable and cartridge—I’m rediscovering some of my records, and thanks to its many adjustments, it will also let me get the most out of an even higher-performance cartridge in the future.
