The entry-level model already possesses all the features that make New Horizon products so unique. High-quality materials are widely used: a crystalline methacrylate platter, a 3-part steel and aluminum axis, and a synchronous AC motor.

Synchronous AC motor

The beating heart of the turntable is the 24VAC synchronous motor whose main characteristic is its extremely regular rotation, independent of variations in the mains voltage, since its speed depends on the mains frequency. The high torque and rotation speed of 500 rpm actively contribute to the regularity and fluidity of the platter rotation.

Inverted bearing

One of the strengths of New Horizon turntables is the platter’s rotation pivot. The perfection of the movement is the result of a meticulous design and several prototypes. Today, the production part has a robust inverted three-piece aluminum and steel bearing structure that guarantees maximum “silence” and very low rotational friction.
