Primare designed the SPA25 as a versatile device, excelling in both home theater configurations and stereo hi-fi use. In 2-channel mode, the amplifier can deliver up to 250 W per channel at 4 ohms, rivaling high-end stereo amplifiers.

This flexibility is also reflected in its configuration options. The SPA25 allows for bi-amping the main speakers or expanding the system to 11 channels by adding an external stereo amplifier. Customizable presets enable quick adaptation of the setup for different uses, whether watching a movie, listening to music, or playing video games.

Advanced Audio Processing

At the heart of the SPA25 is a Cirrus Logic CS 49844A processor, paired with two high-quality ESS Sabre 32-bit/768 kHz converters. This architecture ensures precise processing of digital audio signals, preserving even the finest sound details.

The integrated Dirac Live automatic calibration system optimizes acoustic performance based on the listening room. In its basic version, it corrects low frequencies up to 500 Hz, where most acoustic issues typically occur. An optional license extends correction to the entire audio spectrum.

Modern Connectivity and Built-in Streaming

The SPA25 features the Prisma streaming platform developed by Primare. This technology offers a wide range of network playback options, including AirPlay 2, Chromecast, DLNA, and soon Roon. Users can easily access their favorite streaming services, internet radio, or personal music libraries stored on their home network.

On the video side, the amplifier supports the latest standards, including dynamic HDR and eARC. While the number of HDMI inputs is limited compared to some competitors, the processing quality ensures excellent synchronization between image and sound.
