Screen'up Pull Up 51010 (155 cm)

Pull-Up Portable Projection Screen 51010 Screen’up

Set up a 178 cm diagonal image in the middle of a living room or meeting room, without a drill or wall mount, in just a few seconds: that is the principle of this freestanding screen. The aluminum housing sits on the floor, the screen pulls up and locks in place, ready for a projection session. A practical format for anyone who often changes rooms or cannot hang anything on the wall.

Three seconds to set up the screen

The housing, a 171 cm black aluminum bar, contains the rolled-up screen. You unfold the two feet, grasp the top bar, and pull the screen upward to the desired height, where a locking system holds it in place. At the back, two X-shaped support arms (the series’ X-Press system) deploy and brace the screen to keep it taut. Height adjustment is quick, making it easy to adapt the image position to the room and furniture.

A matte white screen with neutral gain

The projection surface is a matte white fiberglass woven screen, with a gain of 1.0. This neutral gain reflects the projector’s light without concentrating or dimming it: brightness remains even across the entire surface, with no hotspot in the center. With a 160° viewing angle, the image retains its colors and contrast even for viewers seated at the sides.

The screen is opaque: its rear side prevents light from passing through the fabric, which protects contrast and prevents a light source placed behind the screen from degrading the image. The fiberglass is woven in a short-weave pattern, a tight mesh that helps hold the screen and distribute tension across its full height. A roll-up screen does not achieve the flatness of a fixed tensioned frame: slight ripples may remain visible depending on the lighting, and this tight weave helps reduce their presence.

The stated image dimensions correspond to the projection area. A 5 cm black border frames this surface all around.

An image raised to eye level

Between the housing resting on the floor and the image area, the screen includes an 80 cm black band, the extra-drop. It raises the image instead of starting it right at floor level. When deployed, the whole unit measures about 189 cm high, and the image sits at eye level for seated viewers. This band height also allows discreet placement: the housing can slide behind a low piece of furniture, with only the white portion remaining visible above it.

A large screen you can carry by hand

In 16:9 format, the image area measures 155 × 87 cm for a 178 cm diagonal, or about 70 inches. Enough to replace a television for the duration of a movie or a match, then store the screen away once the session is over. The housing remains slim (8.3 by 6.1 cm in section) despite its 171 cm length, and the screen weighs 5.4 kg empty, 7.3 kg in its box. It can be carried one-handed from one room to another, or taken along for a presentation outside the office. The Pull-Up series is equally suited to home use and mobile professional applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of projector can be paired with this screen?

The screen is passive and remains compatible with any home or professional video projector. The viewing distance to be observed does not depend on the screen but on the device’s throw ratio: for an image width of 1.55 m, refer to your projector’s recommendations to determine its distance.

Does the screen work in full light?

It is a neutral-gain white front projection screen, not an ambient light rejecting screen. It delivers its best image quality in a room with controlled or dim lighting. In bright light, contrast decreases, as with any white screen of this type. Its blackout backing nonetheless helps limit degradation caused by light coming from behind the screen.

Does the screen remain stable once unfolded?

Yes. Once the feet are unfolded, the screen stands on its own on the floor. At the back, the X-shaped arms keep the fabric taut while the locking system secures the selected height, without support against a wall.

How does the 51010 stand out from other Pull-Up screens?

The series comes in several sizes in 4:3 and 16:9 formats. The 51010 is the 16:9 version with a 178 cm diagonal. For a larger image in the same format, Screen’up offers models with 203 cm and 233 cm diagonals.

Must it обязательно be placed on the floor?

Yes. It is a floor-standing screen, built around a casing placed on the floor and fold-out feet. The 80 cm black border is designed on the assumption of floor installation to bring the image to eye level; placed on a piece of furniture, this height adjustment would no longer make sense.
