Hisense 100L9HD: 4K Laser Projector with 254 cm ALR Screen

The Hisense 100L9HD is a next-generation ultra-short-throw projector. It features Texas Instruments’ DLP projection technology and a powerful triple RGB laser lamp. This lamp offers a very long lifespan and remains stable over time to deliver an extremely pure light output from the first to the last hour of use. With a maximum brightness of 3000 lumens, the 100L9HD allows for effective projection both day and night.

Designed to be placed directly in front of the projection screen on a TV stand, this projector is equipped with an eye protection mode that immediately turns off the lamp if the beam is interrupted. This prevents any risk of accidental glare, especially for children.

Image Quality

The Hisense 100L9HD is capable of projecting images in 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). It is HDR compatible and supports major formats like HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. This allows it to display superior contrast and nuances, with deep blacks and bright highlights that remain detailed.

The trichroma laser lamp covers a very wide color gamut (107% of the BT.2020 standard). Colors are thus ultra-realistic, nuanced, and vibrant. Viewers enjoy an immersive visual experience, just like in the cinema.

A motion compensation video processing (MEMC) is integrated to effectively smooth images during action scenes or sports. All content with a resolution lower than native 4K also benefits from efficient upscaling. TV programs, DVDs, and Blu-rays are upscaled for a result close to Ultra HD.

Anti-Glare ALR Fresnel Screen

The Hisense 100L9HD projector comes with a 100-inch diagonal (2.5 meters) ALR (Ambient Light Rejecting) projection screen. This special Fresnel micro-lens screen is designed to reject ambient light and optimize the projection of the image towards the viewers.

The screen thus preserves brightness, contrast, and color intensity, whether in a lit room or in darkness. The combination of the laser projector and this ALR screen guarantees perfect image quality in all circumstances, far superior to projection on a white wall.

Immersive Dolby Atmos Sound

On the audio front, the Hisense 100L9HD features a 2.1 channel audio system delivering 40 watts of power. It is compatible with the 3D audio format Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience.

Although the audio quality is superior to that of televisions, it is recommended to pair this projector with a soundbar or a dedicated home theater system to fully enjoy content on a 100-inch screen. The 100L9HD has optical digital audio and HDMI ARC outputs for this purpose.

Comprehensive Connectivity

This Laser TV projector has three HDMI 2.1 inputs compatible with 4K 120 Hz, ALLM, and VRR, including one with eARC. It also includes USB ports, an optical audio output, a headphone jack, an AV input, and a TNT tuner.

Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi. The VIDAA U6 operating system provides access to numerous streaming applications such as Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, etc. The screen mirroring function allows easy content streaming from a smartphone or tablet.
