The Epson EH-QB1000 projector heralds the arrival of a new generation of high-end 4K HDR laser projectors for home cinema. Specifically developed to offer a premium Home Cinema experience, it delivers stunning 4K HDR images with a color and white brightness of 3300 lumens, setting a new benchmark in image quality.
The EH-QB1000 incorporates Epson’s most advanced projection technologies to date. It combines proprietary 4K display technology with 3LCD triple micro-lens array technology to display a native resolution of 8.29 million pixels, providing images with exceptional sharpness and brightness.
At the heart of the EH-QB1000 is the proprietary Epson QZX 32-bit video processor. It optimizes in real-time the brightness, color accuracy, contrast, HDR processing, frame interpolation, dynamic tone mapping, and resolution upscaling. This allows for faithful reproduction of all content as the director intended.
The UltraBlack technology uses an exclusive polarization filter to eliminate stray light and significantly enhance black depth and contrast, achieving a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. The Epson VRX cinema lens, based on a precision 15-element glass structure, ensures excellent sharpness and uniformity.
The 10-bit HDR color processing accepts 100% of the HDR information from sources to accurately reproduce HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) content. Dynamic tone mapping automatically adjusts the optimal HDR level scene by scene.
Equipped with two HDMI 2.1 inputs compatible with HDCP 2.3 and supporting a bandwidth of 40 Gbps, the EH-QB1000 accepts 4K HDR signals up to 120 Hz. It is also compatible with ARC and eARC functions for easy integration with the latest home cinema amplifiers and sources.
With its 4K 120 Hz compatibility, latency under 20 ms, and automatic low latency mode (ALLM), the EH-QB1000 is perfectly suited for video games. Demanding gamers can enjoy an ultra-smooth and responsive gaming experience on the latest generation consoles and high-performance PCs.
To facilitate setup, the EH-QB1000 features motorized lens shift on 3 axes offering vertical movement of ±47% and horizontal of ±96%. The motorized zoom and focus allow easy image adjustment without moving the projector. Up to 10 position memories can be saved.
Compatible with major home automation control systems like Crestron, Control4, and RS-232C/LAN, the EH-QB1000 easily integrates into high-end home cinema installations. Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), it can be calibrated by an authorized technician to achieve optimal image quality.

The projector comes as a replacement for a Mitsubishi that's about 15 years old.
I thought the previous one was sufficient but how mistaken I was.
Used in a dedicated room, the result is exceptional.
The settings for image geometry allow for all adjustments quite simply.
As for the rest, maybe one day I'll call in a calibration professional but I'm already very satisfied with the result
