Optimized Power Supply for High Signal Purity

It features 8 regulated power supplies, including a low-noise one dedicated to the digital/analog converter. A separate 10 VA transformer is dedicated to the analog stages. This design guarantees an optimal signal-to-noise ratio and high musical signal purity.

Symmetrical Output Stages with Discrete Components

To reproduce all the subtleties of your CDs with maximum precision and dynamics, the CD100 Evolution is equipped with symmetrical output stages with discrete components. Biased in class A, they ensure great linearity and excellent responsiveness. The direct current coupling, without coupling capacitors, preserves signal integrity. The current/voltage converters with bipolar transistors contribute to the quality of reproduction.

A High-Definition Burr-Brown PCM1796 Converter

At the heart of the CD100 Evolution is the renowned Burr-Brown PCM1796 24-bit/192 kHz digital/analog converter. Known for its performance, it ensures precise conversion of the digital signal to analog, with a wide bandwidth from 5 Hz to 20 kHz and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 123 dB. The latter, managed by an XMOS interface specifically developed for Atoll, operates in asynchronous mode and accepts PCM streams from 16 to 24 bits up to 192 kHz.
