Sophisticated acoustic design

At the heart of the Direkt Premium is a 275 mm mid-bass driver. Its long-fiber kraft paper cone provides rigidity and lightness for precise reproduction of bass and mids. A 30 mm silk-dome tweeter handles the high frequencies.

The crossover has received particular attention to ensure a smooth transition between lows and highs. High-quality, low-tolerance components guarantee reliability and consistent performance over time.

Internal wiring uses very low-impedance oxygen-free copper conductors for the low frequencies, while the highs benefit from a low-inductance twisted cable for clear, precise treble reproduction.

A reimagined vintage design

Aesthetically, the Heco Direkt Premium draws inspiration from the 1970s with its elegant two-tone cabinet. The front baffle is available in black lacquer or matte satin white, paired with a central insert in real walnut. The rounded corners add an extra touch of refinement.

The cabinet is tilted 6° backward to optimize sound directivity toward the listener. An invisible magnetic mounting system allows for easy installation of the removable protective grilles on the mid-bass and tweeter drivers.

Three robust metal feet ensure the speaker’s stability while allowing optimal weight distribution thanks to their three-point mounting. Interchangeable metal spikes and rubber pads are provided to suit all types of flooring.

Remarkable sound performance

With a high sensitivity of 94 dB and a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, the Direkt Premium pairs easily with a wide range of amplifiers, including low-power tube models.

Its frequency response extends from 25 Hz to 33 kHz, enabling authoritative reproduction of the entire audible spectrum. The cabinet’s generous volume (78 liters) and downward-firing bass-reflex ports contribute to deep, powerful bass.

The Heco Fluktus tweeter features an aluminum front plate and “Wave-Control” horn geometry for wide, even treble dispersion. A dual magnet system ensures detailed reproduction of high frequencies.

A tweeter level adjustment (+2 dB or linear) allows fine-tuning of the response according to room acoustics or listener preferences.

Meticulous construction down to the smallest details

The high-density MDF cabinet benefits from extensive internal bracing to minimize unwanted vibrations and resonances. Carefully positioned struts stiffen the structure for clear, uncolored sound, even at high volume.
