A bridge between iOS and Qualcomm codecs
Headphones equipped with Qualcomm chips generally support aptX, aptX HD, or aptX Adaptive, but these codecs remain inaccessible from an iPhone or iPad. The QCC Dongle establishes the missing link. Once plugged into the USB-C port, it takes over audio transmission from the device’s native Bluetooth, allowing you to use the full range of aptX codecs up to aptX Lossless. The result: higher bitrate, fewer compression artefacts, and significantly improved audio-video sync compared to AAC.

Gaming on consoles and computers
The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch do not offer high-quality native Bluetooth audio output. The QCC Dongle fills this gap by plugging directly into the console’s USB-C port. Thanks to aptX Adaptive, latency drops to around 40 ms, a sufficiently low threshold for the delay between picture and sound to remain imperceptible in most games. The dongle also supports high-definition voice transmission, provided you use a headset equipped with a compatible microphone.
On PC or Mac, usage follows the same logic. Initial pairing is done via the mobile app, after which the dongle can be moved to the computer. No. Models equipped with a Lightning port are not compatible. Only the iPhone 15 and later, which feature a USB-C port, can use the dongle. This limitation also applies to Lightning iPads.
