Triangle’s RED Stereo RCA cable integrates this ground wire, which is often supplied separately, avoiding the need to purchase an additional accessory. Designed for analog sources (turntable, DAC, CD player), it is part of the “Black & Red” cable range launched by the French hi-fi speaker manufacturer.

OFC copper conductors and multi-strand structure

The core of the RED cable is made of oxygen-free copper (OFC) with 99.99% purity. This type of conductor reduces micro-impurities that can affect electrical conductivity. Triangle has opted for a multi-strand structure instead of a solid-core conductor: the signal travels through several twisted wires, which promotes consistent resistance along the entire cable and reduces the risk of breakage in case of repeated handling.

Triple-layer shielding against interference

Cables carrying low-level signals are sensitive to electromagnetic interference (motors, transformers, phones). The RED combines several protective layers, from the inside out: a PVC jacket around the conductor, a copper braid, an insulating aluminum foil, a second layer of PVC, then an outer braided cotton sleeve. This final layer provides physical protection while giving the cable a refined finish.

This multi-layer architecture does not guarantee total absence of interference in all environments, but it offers solid protection against common interference sources in home settings.

Gold-plated RCA connectors and visual identification

The RCA plugs are gold plated, a common treatment on hi-fi cables to limit oxidation over time and maintain a stable electrical contact. A color code distinguishes the left and right channels. Triangle also indicates the direction of signal flow with arrows on the cable, a convention derived from audiophile practice that consists in orienting the shielding from the source toward the amplifier.
