Townus series flagship floorstanding speaker, the 90 adopts several technologies developed by Canton for its more expensive Vento range. The German manufacturer, based in the Taunus region of Hesse, created this series name by blending “Town” and “Taunus,” a way of linking modern urban life to its rural roots. The result: a 3-way, 105 cm tall floorstander that combines four drivers in a slim cabinet with rounded edges.

Titanium and ceramic drivers: technology transfer

Each Townus 90 houses four drivers. The two woofers and the 174 mm midrange use titanium diaphragms, a material that offers high rigidity for low mass.
