The LIFESTYLE® 18 Home Theater System has everything it takes to deliver exhilarating sound for movies and music. It features several innovations found in our high-end LIFESTYLE® products, including the ADAPTiQ® audio calibration system, which adapts the sound to the room’s acoustics, and BOSE® link networking, which allows you to expand your LIFESTYLE® system to fourteen additional rooms. The five 3-inch tall cube speakers deliver 5.1 surround sound, ideal for small rooms.

The sleek and discreet media center blends seamlessly into your interior. This revolutionary, high-performance system contains much of the exclusive technology behind its exceptional qualities. It also includes an integrated CD/DVD player that supports the most common audio and video formats, including DVDs, DVD-Rs, CDs, CD-Rs, CD-RWs, and MP3 CDs, as well as an AM/FM tuner with RDS and 50 presets. It has three inputs for connecting additional external equipment. It also features a VIDEOSTAGE® 5 decoding circuit that delivers 5.1 quality to virtually all your media, even old VHS tapes and mono TV programs.

These VIRTUALLY INVISIBLE® cube speakers rival the quality of many larger speakers. They pair with the ACOUSTIMASS® module, 30% more compact than the original model, which delivers low-frequency effects. Because it produces low frequencies for all channels, the module can be hidden, and the sound will seem to come from the cube speakers.

Surround sound tailored to the room Every home has unique acoustic characteristics that affect sound quality. Exclusive to Bose, the ADAPTiQ® audio calibration system compensates for the effects of room size and other variables that impact listening quality. Place the speakers wherever you want, then sit in your favorite listening area. The system manages room variations so you can enjoy the quality of BOSE® surround sound without having to adjust speaker placement.

This system is also designed to be expanded to multiple other rooms in your home, and even outdoors. With BOSE® link networking, your LIFESTYLE® 18 system can be seamlessly connected to compatible BOSE® products. You can then enjoy a choice of two audio sources, wherever you are in the house, with local volume control. You can watch a DVD in the main room while the kids listen to their favorite music upstairs.

ADAPTiQ® Audio Calibration System

Install the speakers wherever you want, without even having to make any prior tonal adjustments. Available only from Bose, this easy-to-use, U.S. patented technology analyzes how your room’s dimensions and other factors affect the sound. It then automatically adjusts the sound of your LIFESTYLE® DVD system to the room’s acoustics.

BOSE® link

You can connect compatible BOSE® products to your LIFESTYLE® system to listen to music in up to fourteen different rooms, even outdoors. With BOSE® link networking technology, you can independently control the volume in each room and access two different audio streams from the same LIFESTYLE® system. This technology can also work without any wires between your rooms by purchasing the BOSE® link AL8 wireless multi-room audio expansion.
