Specially designed by installers for installers, HEOS Drive HS2 is a unique 4-zone whole-home audio system with an 8-channel Class D amplifier, all in a single compact chassis featuring Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital + and stereo downmixing.
With a rated power of 60W for each of the 8 channels (20Hz~20kHz, 0.05% total harmonic distortion, 8 ohms, all channels driven or operating), 1 or 2 stereo amps can be bridged for high-power output (130 watts) per single channel; and HEOS Drive HS2 has excellent handling with low-impedance speakers (4 ohms).
Each zone has a stereo output at the pre-amplifier level, and each zone can be configured for stereo or mixed mono output. The switching matrix system features 2 digital optical inputs, 2 digital coaxial inputs, and 4 analog stereo inputs, each of which can be assigned to any zone, and each zone has a dedicated USB port for connecting an external USB drive.
