The Ortofon Concorde MKII CLUB is a DJ cartridge designed to deliver high sound quality and powerful audio output, whether for professional use in clubs, studios, or at home. This cartridge combines advanced technical specifications with a distinctive sound profile, making it an ideal choice for both DJs and vinyl enthusiasts.
The diamond is a key element of a cartridge. Its shape greatly influences the playback quality. The Concorde MKII CLUB is equipped with a specific high-quality elliptical diamond. Made from pure diamond, it perfectly fits the micro-grooves of the vinyl record.
This allows for maximum detail extraction with great fidelity while generating minimal surface noise. The larger contact area offered by the elliptical profile captures more complex audio information compared to a classic spherical diamond.
Such a diamond is ideal for high-definition listening and archiving of vinyl records. However, it wears out a bit faster than a spherical diamond, which is more favored for scratching and back-cueing. But the sound quality is top-notch.
The Ortofon Concorde MKII CLUB boasts a wide frequency response range of 20-20,000 Hz at -3 dB, ensuring precise reproduction of the entire audio spectrum. This extended frequency response allows the cartridge to capture the deepest bass notes and the most delicate high frequencies, offering a rich and immersive listening experience.
The cartridge also demonstrates excellent channel separation, with values of 22 dB at 1 kHz and 15 dB at 15 kHz. This high level of channel separation ensures a wide and precise stereo image, allowing listeners to accurately locate individual instruments and voices in the sound space. The result is a spacious and engaging presentation that brings music to life.
The Ortofon Concorde MKII CLUB is a versatile cartridge that excels in a variety of professional contexts. Its combination of high output, detailed sound, and robust construction makes it an ideal choice for club DJs who need a reliable and powerful cartridge for energetic performances. The CLUB’s ability to handle high volume levels and resist feedback is particularly valuable in live environments.
In addition to its use in clubs, the Concorde MKII CLUB is also well-suited for studio recording, broadcasting applications, and vinyl archiving. Its precise and detailed sound reproduction makes it an excellent tool for capturing the nuances of vinyl recordings, whether for sampling, digitizing, or critical listening.
The cartridge is compatible with a wide range of DJ turntables, including popular models like the Technics SL-1200. Its standard mounting system allows for easy installation and alignment, ensuring optimal performance with minimal setup time.

After a few years with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridges and disappointments with the timbre and a predominance of mids, I never got back the rounded listening experience I used to have as a former DJ. I thought, why not try the Concorde Mk2 Club since I have a Technics 1210 GR. And then, what a big surprise!
From the very first listen, without any break-in, I instantly rediscovered what I’d lost in tonal character with the 2M Blue. The soul and roundness, with the heightened precision of days past. I’m getting nicely rounded bass, a truly balanced midrange, and upper mids to treble that are very precise without being harsh. Honestly, it’s really worth it, and I sincerely regret not buying it years earlier. Nothing but good. It does need a bit of break-in to achieve precise treble. It’s a truly well-balanced cartridge in terms of listening, with no dominance. It’s very dynamic and perfect for albums that lack punch. I listen to everything from electro to dance, jazz, and pop. A 10 out of 10, and even the price is excellent. Thanks to HomeCineSolutions and their professionalism.

A real difference in the scale of the soundstage and dynamics compared to the MKII MIX! Very good durability as well. Nothing to complain about, I highly recommend it with confidence!
