The mmf-3.3 embodies the culmination of over 30 years of research, development, and most importantly, listening. The 3-speed belt-drive turntable was developed for those seeking a perfectly matched set of features with an uncompromising focus on sonic performance. The 3.3 is built with high-quality components and comes complete with a tonearm, mounted cartridge, and dust cover. Speed Control The 3.3 has integrated electronic speed control for 33/45/ and 78. The platter speed switches from 33 to 45 rpm at the touch of a button. 78 rpm requires moving the belt to a different location on the motor pulley and using a different belt, included with the turntable.
This tonearm is unique to music-hall. Bonding the alloy shell to the carbon arm tube stiffens and dampens the carbon fiber tube. This construction greatly improves the sound and performance compared to similar one-piece carbon arms. The alloy shell allows you to safely mount the cartridge on the tonearm without the twisting and bending that is common in one-piece carbon arms. Tonearms should not twist/bend as this negatively impacts the ability of the cartridge and tonearm to properly track the record groove. On many one-piece carbon tonearms, you can literally pinch the cartridge end of the arm between your thumb and forefinger and twist/bend the arm tube. Try this with the music-hall and the tonearm remains rigid as your fingers start to hurt.
The arm itself is housed in a 4-point gimbal bearing construction using Swiss ABEC bearings. This is superior to many of music-hall’s competitors who use a lesser 2-point bearing system.

Excellent product. Very nice finish, with one small issue regarding the user manual (English and German). The explanation for adjusting the weight to apply to the cartridge is brief. I managed to figure it out correctly since I was familiar with the procedure, having done it several times before on different turntable models (ex DJ). But it would be complicated for the average person.

Very good turntable. No vibration, the motor is inaudible. However, I changed the cartridge based on personal preference and installed an MC cartridge.
I recommend it.
