Certified Ultra High Speed by the HDMI organization, this Inakustik cable from the Premium range complies with the HDMI 2.1b standard and supports a maximum bandwidth of 48 Gbit/s. It is designed to ensure the transmission of audio and video signals that meet the specifications of HDMI 2.1-compatible equipment. The cable features OFC copper conductors, triple shielding, and gold-plated connectors.
The internal structure of the Premium II 48G is based on high-purity OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) conductors, assembled in twisted pairs with a 28 AWG gauge. This configuration limits electromagnetic interference between the various data lines. The triple shielding, a combination of a metal braid and two layers of foil, reinforces insulation against external interference, whether from Wi‑Fi signals, radio waves, or electrical noise from nearby devices.
The connectors feature 24‑carat gold plating that prevents oxidation and maintains optimal conductivity over time. A braided fabric sheath covers the whole assembly, offering better mechanical resistance than a simple plastic jacket. However, the cable’s rigidity, a consequence of this robust construction, requires a fairly generous bending radius when installing it behind furniture or a wall-mounted TV.
With 48 Gbps of bandwidth, the cable supports the most demanding resolutions: 4K at 120 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling, 8K at 120 Hz with DSC (Display Stream Compression), and even 10K at 60 Hz in 4:4:4 HDR via DSC. For more common setups, 4K/60 Hz passes easily without any compression.
Gamers will appreciate compatibility with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), which synchronizes the display’s refresh rate with that of the console or PC to eliminate screen tearing. ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) allows the TV to automatically switch to game mode when a console is detected. QMS (Quick Media Switching) and QFT (Quick Frame Transport) round out this feature set by reducing latency when changing sources or content.
HDR support includes HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision formats, covering most of the catalogs offered by streaming platforms and Ultra HD Blu-ray discs.
The Premium II 48G carries uncompressed HD audio streams: Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS:X are sent directly to the receiver or soundbar. The eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) function can send these same formats from the TV’s built-in apps to an external audio system, without the need for an additional optical cable.
CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) compatibility lets you control multiple devices with a single remote, while HDCP 2.3 ensures decoding of protected content, including that from the latest video-on-demand services.
Yes. These consoles use the HDMI 2.1 standard for 4K/120 Hz, VRR, and ALLM. The Premium II 48G supports all these features and lets you enable every graphics mode offered by these systems.
The Star II 48G shares the same bandwidth and HDMI 2.1b compatibility. It differs by using slightly thinner conductors (30 AWG versus 28 AWG) and omitting the fabric sheath. The Premium II 48G offers a more robust construction and better mechanical isolation.
The triple insulation and fabric sheath make this cable relatively stiff. If the space behind the screen is very tight or if the TV’s HDMI port faces the wall, it may be difficult to maintain a tight bending radius without putting strain on the connector. In that case, an angled or thinner cable would be preferable.
Yes, provided both the TV and the soundbar support eARC. The cable will then carry the full Atmos stream, without going through the compressed Dolby Digital Plus format.
No. At that resolution, DSC compression is required, even with 48 Gbps of bandwidth. 8K/60 Hz in 4:2:0 without DSC remains theoretically possible, but current 8K TVs generally use compression to ensure stable transmission.
Ultra High Speed certification by HDMI.org guarantees that the cable has passed compliance tests for 48 Gbps data rates. A non-certified cable may work, but without guaranteed stability for all advanced features (VRR, 4K/120 Hz, etc.). The Premium II 48G carries this certification.
Yes. HDCP 2.3 and sufficient bandwidth allow 4K HDR to pass through a compatible AV receiver. HD audio formats (Atmos, DTS:X) will be decoded by the receiver while the video continues on to the display.

Corentin
All the features of the PS5 are recognized by the TV and the cable, which is not always the case (like with my old cables, for example).
The cables are not very supple or flexible; the minimum bending radius required by the cable without feeling any strain is quite large. So, if you have an HDMI output against the wall and the TV mounted on it, this could be an issue.
Otherwise, great product.
