The design of the base with catenary curves derives from one of the most important discoveries of the Renaissance era, resulting in unparalleled rigidity that allows the Giglio to reproduce the musical event with stunning precision.
The lower base is made from prized locally sourced materials such as solid Walnut, chosen for its exceptional elasticity, strength and high density. The wooden base rests on three anodized aluminum feet with an elegant tapered design.
The Giglio features a 33mm thick platter and a high-precision drive shaft system designed to achieve an ultra-low tolerance level. The polished aluminum pulley takes the shape of an hourglass allowing the belt to rotate stably, drastically reducing wow and flutter as well as rumble effect.
The 12V synchronous motor power supply has been specifically developed to ensure perfect musical reproduction. Thanks to our exclusive control system based on a Quadral-Core microcontroller, the Giglio effectively reduces vibrations and develops the necessary power to obtain the best musical dynamics and resolution.
The power supply unit electronically controls the 33⅓ rpm and 45 rpm speeds as well as the precision adjustments, recording all settings in memory.
