Audeze Maxwell is a premium gaming headset designed for use with the Xbox gaming console. The headset features Audeze’s patented planar magnetic technology, known for delivering clear, detailed sound with a wide frequency response. It also has a detachable microphone and a lightweight, comfortable design, making it ideal for long gaming sessions.
Maxwell is the world’s first headset equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 technology for ultra-low latency wireless gaming, with an industry-leading 80-hour battery life. It immerses you in the game with the latest in spatial audio, comes with a Dolby Atmos license for Xbox and Windows, and supports PlayStation’s Tempest 3D Audio. Maxwell is the latest in a line of specially designed gaming headsets, such as the LCD-GX and Mobius, which have received rave reviews for their innovations in audio performance and head tracking.
With the latest Bluetooth audio technology, you can connect and play anywhere, without compromise. Maxwell delivers high-resolution, ultra-low latency audio up to 24-bit 96kHz when connected to the included USB-C dongle or an LC3plus-compatible device. Low-latency wireless range and stability are improved up to 3 times compared to our Audeze Penrose headset. Maxwell also supports lossless high-resolution audio up to 24-bit 96kHz via wired USB.
Audeze brings to Maxwell zero-latency, AI-powered noise filtering for crystal-clear communications in any environment (this feature debuted with Audeze’s Filter speaker). Audeze’s AI system automatically eliminates background noise at the push of a button, with no additional software or setup. Your friends and teammates will never miss your jokes and callouts thanks to the five built-in microphones and removable boom (designed by our friends at Shure!).
Maxwell delivers studio-quality sound and powerful, lifelike dynamics thanks to Audeze’s latest planar magnetic drivers. These 90mm drivers, made in California, have at least 3 times more surface area than competing drivers, for incredible sonic detail, authority, and impact. Maxwell’s reinforced chassis, featuring a spring steel headband and adjustable suspension strap, is designed for greater comfort during long gaming sessions.
Maxwell is compatible with the Audeze HQ gaming app, allowing users to access all of the headset’s customizable features, such as custom multi-band EQ, advanced gaming presets, game chat mixing, side tone, and noise reduction.
Within the Audeze HQ application, users have the ability to create their own custom equalization settings, which they can then transfer to their Maxwell headphones. Audeze is thrilled to share this collection of custom Maxwell equalizer presets, developed in collaboration with our partners at GadgetryTech. Each of these profiles has been meticulously designed for specific game titles, adjusting the bass, mids, and treble to enhance the sound experience for each game. This selection offers a variety of presets for games such as Apex Legends, COD Warzone, CSGO, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, PUBG, Rainbow6 Siege, and Valorant. Maxwell headphone owners have the option to import individual presets or choose the complete set. They can load up to four presets simultaneously into their headphones, allowing them to switch between different settings according to their preferences and the requirements of each game. Discover the available presets
A gaming headset of all superlatives, the Audeze Maxwell significantly addresses the shortcomings of its predecessors. With a much more robust build, a top-of-the-line Bluetooth chip, versatility, excellent microphone quality, exceptional battery life, and above all, an extraordinary sound that has no equivalent in the gaming headset market.
Complete, robust, but above all equipped with exceptional sound quality for its price, the Audeze Maxwell is much more than one of the best gaming headsets on the market. While its size and weight are obvious drawbacks, especially for portability, its versatility is admirable. A great success driven by exceptional planar transducers, even if it isn't a perfect product.

Very good headset overall. Being used to gaming headsets, the lack of bass and the way the sound is redistributed can be a bit disorienting at first because of the sound quality.
I recommend it for those who like quality: the sound is so great that I got banned from Battlefield 6 after a week of playing with this headset, simply because I can hear other players from 40 m away. So be careful if you play an online FPS and your overall K/D ratio goes over 3, you may get banned for gameplay enhancement with this headset.
