The SVS Prime Satellite bookshelf speakers deliver impressive audio performance despite their small size. Thanks to careful design and quality components, they produce precise, dynamic, and immersive sound.

Each speaker features a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter and a 4.5-inch midrange/woofer. This 2-way configuration covers a wide frequency range from 69 Hz to 25 kHz (+/- 3dB). The aluminum tweeter ensures detailed and crystal-clear high-frequency reproduction, while the Peerless driver handles midrange and bass with precision and power.

Design and Construction

The Prime Satellite boasts an elegant and modern design with a compact cabinet that allows for easy placement in various environments. The speaker is available in three attractive finishes: Piano Black, Piano White, and Premium Black Ash.

The cabinet incorporates several acoustic enhancements, such as a chamfered front baffle, flush-mounted drivers, tapered edges, and an acoustically transparent grille. These features minimize edge diffraction and improve on-axis high-frequency response for a clear and precise soundstage. The Prime Satellite also utilizes a 1” rear-firing flared port for increased efficiency and smoother response.

Drivers and Crossover

The SVS Prime Satellite employs premium drivers and a sophisticated crossover to achieve its impressive sound quality. The speaker features a 1” aluminum dome tweeter and a 4.5” polypropylene cone woofer.

The tweeter is a refined unit that delivers crisp, clear highs, while the woofer provides dynamic and accurate midrange and bass frequencies. The drivers work in harmony with the SVS SoundMatch 2-way crossover, which ensures a smooth transition between the tweeter and woofer for cohesive, balanced sound.

Mounting and Setup

The speaker also features a 1/4”-20 threaded insert on the back of the cabinet, allowing for wall mounting using articulating brackets (sold separately). SVS includes rubber bumpers that can be attached to the lower rear corners of the speaker to keep it level and prevent rotation when wall-mounted.

The Prime Satellite is highly versatile and can be used in various configurations, including as part of a dedicated 2.1-channel stereo setup or a multi-channel home theater system. Proper placement is essential for achieving the smoothest frequency response, optimal imaging, and the most immersive soundstage.
