The Sub Medium Wireless is the latest addition to the high-end Piega subwoofer lineup. This active subwoofer stands out with its elegant all-aluminum design, impressive acoustic performance despite its compact size, and versatile wireless connectivity. It integrates perfectly with Piega’s Ace Wireless range but can also be used with other audio systems thanks to its multiple connectivity options.

Two 20 cm Drivers for Deep and Precise Bass

Inside its sealed aluminum enclosure, the Sub Medium houses two large 20 cm (8-inch) bass drivers. Their treated cellulose membranes offer rigidity, lightness, and damping. These two transducers are driven by a digital Class D amplifier delivering an impressive 240 W RMS power (with less than 1% distortion). The power even peaks at 300 W (with less than 10% THD).

The digital active filtering, using the same algorithms as the Piega Ace wireless speakers, provides a linear bass response from 18 Hz to 160 Hz. A physiological corrector automatically adjusts the bass level according to the listening volume (loudness).

The result: the Sub Medium delivers deep, fast, and detailed bass with surgical precision, without any lag or audible distortion, even at high levels. It pairs wonderfully with the compact and floor-standing speakers of the Ace wireless series.

Versatile Connectivity

Designed as the ideal complement to the Ace wireless speakers, the Sub Medium can be easily integrated into this system or any device compatible with the WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Audio) standard, such as a TV or network player. The connection is easily established by pressing the “Pair” button on the subwoofer and following the procedure on the transmitting device.

But the Sub Medium also shows versatility by accepting a wired connection to any traditional system via an RCA analog input or balanced RJ45 connectors. It also has outputs to connect to other passive speakers, a valuable flexibility for installations requiring long cabling.

A switch allows disabling the wireless mode if needed. The control panel at the back allows advanced settings, with a volume potentiometer, a 0/180° phase selector, a variable low-pass filter from 50 to 160 Hz, and a “Sat” mode activating a high-pass filter on the outputs.
