Overview
Control a multi-zone audio system from a wall panel, without taking out your phone or opening an app: that’s what Integra’s ZC1 offers. This zone controller, powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet), mounts on the wall and communicates directly with amplifiers in the Integra Professional range. It comes in black or white, and can manage the audio zones of a restaurant, hotel, or home from a single control point.
A wall panel powered by the network
The ZC1 draws power from the Ethernet cable thanks to the PoE standard. In practical terms, a single network cable is all it takes to connect it to the infrastructure: it carries both data and power. There’s no need to run an additional power line to the installation point, which simplifies wiring and reduces setup time. For the installer, this is a welcome time saver, especially in existing buildings where every channel cut into a wall is expensive.
The enclosure adopts a discreet format, designed to blend into a high-end residential interior or a carefully designed commercial space. The black finish (a white version is also available) allows it to integrate into most environments without drawing attention.
A web interface for zone control
The ZC1’s screen provides access to a web interface that lets you navigate between audio zones, adjust the volume, and select sources. Synchronization with the amplifier takes place in real time: any change made on the controller is immediately reflected on the system, and vice versa. If a setting is changed from the amplifier’s online configuration interface (the web GUI), the ZC1 reflects that change without delay.
This bidirectional operation avoids inconsistencies between the settings shown on the wall and the actual state of the system, a common problem with remote controls or control panels disconnected from the amplifier.
Compatibility with the Integra Professional range
The ZC1 works with the full line of Integra Professional series amplifiers: the 4125DSP (4 channels, 125 W), the 4500DSP (4 channels, up to 500 W), the 8125DSP (8 channels, 125 W), and the 8500DSP (8 channels, up to 500 W). Each amplifier can support up to eight ZC1 controllers, making it possible to distribute control points throughout a building: one at reception, one in the restaurant dining room, one in the bar, etc.
Integra Professional amplifiers are themselves compatible with the main home automation and integration control systems: Crestron, Control4, Q-SYS, AMX, RTI, Elan, Symetrix, and URC. The ZC1 fits into this ecosystem as a local, physical access point, complementing software-based controls.
PIN code security
Access to the controller is protected by a 4-digit PIN code. In a commercial setting (hotel, restaurant, shop), this protection prevents a customer or unauthorized employee from changing the audio settings. It’s a simple precaution, but it avoids a lot of inconvenience: volume accidentally pushed to the maximum, an audio source changed in the middle of service, or zone settings thrown off.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the ZC1 work with Integra DRX series AV receivers (AVR)?
No. The ZC1 is designed exclusively for amplifiers in the Integra Professional range (4125DSP, 4500DSP, 8125DSP, 8500DSP). It is not compatible with network AV receivers in the DRX or DTM series.
How many ZC1 units can be connected to a single amplifier?
Each Integra Professional amplifier supports up to eight ZC1 controllers simultaneously, making it possible to multiply control points throughout a building.
Does the ZC1 require a dedicated power supply?
No. The ZC1 is powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet): a single network cable handles both data transmission and power supply. A PoE-compatible network switch is required upstream.
Can the security PIN code be changed?
Yes. The 4-digit PIN code can be configured from the amplifier’s online configuration interface (web GUI). It can be changed at any time by the installer or system administrator.
Is specific software required to configure the ZC1?
Configuration is done through Integra’s Intuitive Control SW software, which is also used to set up Professional amplifiers. The settings interface is accessible through a web browser, with no additional software installation required on the user side.
Can the ZC1 work with third-party home automation systems?
The ZC1 itself is a local control point. Integration with home automation systems (Crestron, Control4, Q-SYS, etc.) takes place at the amplifier level, via the drivers provided by Integra. The ZC1 coexists with these control systems without conflict.
