In 1966, John Bowers and his lifelong friend Peter Hayward created a manufacturing company later called B&W Electronics, in Worthing, on the southern coast of England. They agreed to live modestly and reinvest every profit into the company to further develop the pursuit of the perfect speaker… The second decade of the 21st century saw Bowers & Wilkins further improve its technologies and expand into new markets. Diamond tweeter technology was modernized, along with many speakers, while mobile music enthusiasts discovered the first Bowers & Wilkins headphones.
