As with the other 12 Series products, the RCD-12 can be controlled using the front panel buttons with the help of the display screen, the infrared remote control, or wirelessly using the Rotel Remote app for iPhone or iPad.

Significant noise coming from the drive motor or power supply that is noticeable at low listening volumes. This causes real annoyance and disappointment given the brand's reputation. This player is paired with a LUXMAN digital amplifier connected by a coaxial digital cable to optimize the listening system.
Pros: design / sound reproduction quality at medium to high listening volumes.
