In this context, LehmannAudio has of course taken into account the varying performance requirements and sensitivity levels of the types of headphones currently available on the market.

A long metal box houses a muscular power supply with king-size toroidal transformer in the back, discrete class-A amplification circuits in the front, two parallel Neutrik 6.35 jack sockets, and a volume control via an ALPS potentiometer operated by a massive knob. At the rear, line-level RCA input and output; the Linear can also act as a preamp for active speakers or a power block.
