Questyle’s M18i DAC/amplifier features a tempered glass front panel that instantly shows fingerprints and dust at the slightest touch. Its anodized aluminum shell, while robust, doesn’t take kindly to repeated contact with keys or coins at the bottom of a pocket. This leather case addresses these everyday constraints while preserving the M18i’s minimal footprint (75 × 35 × 14.5 mm).

Leather that wraps without weighing it down

The genuine black leather exterior provides a more secure grip than bare glass or metal. The material closely hugs the contours of the unit without excessive play: the M18i is held firmly in place without needing to force it in or out. The leather absorbs minor everyday bumps and protects exposed surfaces from micro-scratches.

The finish is understated: no decorative topstitching and no visible logo apart from the product’s natural silhouette. The overall thickness remains modest and does not compromise the desired compactness of a portable DAC.

Cutouts that preserve ergonomics

The case features carefully positioned raised areas and openings. The three control buttons on the left side of the M18i (volume, gain, mode) remain perfectly accessible. The front OLED screen stays visible through a clear window, allowing you to read the volume level, audio format, or battery status without any extra handling.

The USB-C ports (the top one for mobile connection, the side one for PC mode with charging) and the 3.5 mm and 4.4 mm headphone outputs at the bottom are not obstructed. The M18i can therefore operate normally once placed in its case, whether it’s connected to a smartphone, a computer, or used over Bluetooth.

A belt clip for mobility

On the back of the case, a metal clip folds flat when not in use. When deployed, it fastens securely to a belt or the pocket of a bag. This attachment frees up your hands and prevents the DAC from swinging at the end of its cable while you’re on the move.

The system is suitable for daily commutes, outdoor listening sessions, or simply keeping the M18i within easy reach without filling your pockets. Handling remains quick: the clip detaches with a single motion when you want to pick up the device.
