Designed by the Loewe Colab Design teams and assembled at the Slovenian factory in Velenje, this 164 cm OLED TV belongs to the We. SEE range, the more accessible branch of the German brand. WRGB 4K panel, six Invisible Sound speakers, two HDMI 2.1 ports, support for Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+: the equipment brings together the expected features of a recent 4K OLED, with the brand’s characteristic attention to finishing.

A 65-inch WRGB OLED panel

WRGB OLED technology stands out through the individual shutoff of each pixel, which produces deep blacks without light blooming and virtually infinite contrast. Loewe announces peak brightness of up to 800 cd/m² on specular highlights in HDR, a value consistent with recent-generation OLED panels without reaching the peaks of the brightest QD-OLEDs or MiniLED LCDs. The stated 120° viewing angle allows comfortable viewing from the side seats of a sofa, without perceptible color shift.

On the HDR side, the screen supports all current consumer formats: HDR10 and HLG as a base, HDR10+ for Prime Video or Apple TV+ content that uses it, Dolby Vision IQ for Netflix, Disney+ and the majority of compatible UHD Blu-rays. IQ mode adjusts Dolby Vision rendering according to ambient light captured by an integrated sensor. 4K upscaling, adaptive contrast and the AI Picture Quality algorithm come into play on lower-definition sources, from SD streams to Full HD Blu-rays. 24p handling without interpolation preserves the original cinema frame rate.

The Invisible Sound audio system

Six speakers are grouped into the Invisible Sound system, concealed in the chassis and powered by Class-D amplification for a combined 30 W RMS (announced at 60 W in music power). Playback supports Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD, covering the soundtracks of streaming platforms and UHD Blu-ray discs. Atmos decoding obviously remains virtual on speakers built into such an ultra-thin chassis: no OLED TV panel of this size can produce the real height channels of a dedicated 5.1.2 system.

For those who want to expand the soundstage, a dedicated 3.5 mm subwoofer output is included among the connections, in addition to the Toslink optical output and the fixed and variable audio outputs. The integrated equalizer, automatic volume control and Dynamic Loudness function make late-night listening easier by limiting level differences between dialogue and effects.

Loewe os9 and preinstalled services

The Loewe os9 system is based on the VIDAA platform, used by several European and Asian manufacturers. The app store provides access to the main streaming services: Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Apple TV+, YouTube, Deezer for audio, and Zattoo, HD+ and Magenta TV for linear television. Apple AirPlay enables streaming from an iPhone, iPad or Mac without a third-party app, and the Matter protocol opens the screen to a possible role in a compatible smart home environment.

VIDAA Voice voice control works via the microphone on the remote control, and Alexa skills extend the possibilities for users equipped with Amazon speakers. The integrated web browser and DLNA media player complete the software offering. The VIDAA catalog covers the essentials without reaching the completeness of the best-supplied platforms for niche apps.

HDMI 2.1, video gaming and console compatibility

Of the four HDMI inputs, two comply with the 2.1 standard and support 4K at 120 Hz, VRR for variable refresh rate, and ALLM, which automatically switches to game mode when a console is detected. This configuration is suitable for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PCs equipped with recent graphics cards. The two remaining HDMI 2.0b inputs can accommodate a UHD Blu-ray player, a TV decoder or any other standard video device. The eARC port transmits an uncompressed Dolby Atmos stream to a compatible soundbar or home theater amplifier. ALLM latency is not specified by the manufacturer and should be checked depending on the requirements of competitive gamers.

Ultra-thin chassis and Coal Black finish

The Loewe visual signature is reflected in the matte Coal Black finish, the 6.8 cm-thick chassis and the aluminum table stand swiveling ±45°. The design is entrusted to the in-house Loewe Colab Design studio, and manufacturing takes place at the historic factory in Velenje, Slovenia. The materials combine glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFR) and glass, two components chosen for chassis rigidity and perceived finish quality.

Three installation modes are provided: included table stand, wall mounting to the VESA 300 x 200 mm standard, or ceiling mount for atypical installations. The dimensions of the TV alone reach 145.7 x 83.8 x 6.8 cm for 25.2 kg, with the rotating stand bringing the total weight to 31.9 kg.

TV reception, recording and automation

On the reception side, the dual Triple Tuner simultaneously handles DVB-T2 HD (high-definition terrestrial TV), DVB-C (cable) and DVB-S2 (satellite), with DiSEqC and Unicable for multi-receiver satellite installations. Memory capacity reaches 10,000 channels, and the electronic program guide (EPG) covers the whole range. The split-screen function allows the simultaneous display of one channel and another source.

Recording to a hard drive or USB flash drive includes multi-recording and timeshift, allowing a live program to be paused and resumed a few minutes later. For integrators, the Control4 and Crestron protocols make the TV controllable from a professional home automation system. Wake-on-LAN and Wake-on-WLAN allow remote startup from the local network. Connectivity includes two USB-A ports (1 A and 2 A), two USB-C ports (1 A each), Bluetooth, Miracast, built-in Wi-Fi and Ethernet RJ45.
