Marantz PM6006 Amplifier

The Marantz PM6006 amplifier is the successor to the multi-award-winning PM6005. The Marantz PM6006 delivers 2x45 Watts of power. It has been upgraded for peak current handling at the amplifier stage, allowing you to refine the sound in much greater detail. Toroidal transformers offer several advantages over standard EI core transformers: they are highly efficient and therefore produce more power than an EI core transformer of the same size, contributing to exceptional sound quality. Marantz incorporates a power supply using high-speed, high-current Schottky diodes, as well as high-current capacitors that provide a wide dynamic range at low impedance, to reproduce a much more dynamic, precise and detailed sound. For connectivity, you’ll now find a coaxial digital input and two optical digital inputs available for connecting digital devices and playing high-resolution audio files (PCM up to 192 kHz/24 bits). It is fully shielded with an additional metal casing to eliminate any interference between the digital section and the analog signal.

Marantz CD6006 CD Player

The new Marantz CD6006 is an improved version of the CD6005, voted best CD player under 600 euros by What HiFi magazine. In this new version, Marantz has added solid feet to eliminate vibrations. The oversized power supply feeds the player’s digital and analog circuits, while the high-quality CS4398 digital-to-analog converter converts digital signals to analog. The headphone amplifier features an HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain settings (low, medium, high) for a wide range of headphones. The CD6006 player can play MP3, WMA, WAV and AAC files from a connected USB storage device. It can even play music directly from Apple devices via its digital-to-analog converter. Marantz has also included a new remote control that also controls the PM6006 amplifier and NA6005 network player.
