LDAC
LDAC is a Bluetooth audio codec developed by Sony to transmit high-resolution music wirelessly. It supports sampling rates up to 96 kHz / 24-bit and reaches a bit rate of up to 990 kb/s, or about three times that of standard SBC. Three transmission modes (330, 660 and 990 kb/s) adjust the balance between sound quality and connection stability depending on the radio environment.
Integrated into the Android ecosystem via AOSP, LDAC is found in a wide range of smartphones, digital audio players, wireless headphones and earbuds. The codec enables reproduction close to that of a wired source compressed without audible loss, provided that both the transmitter and receiver are LDAC-compatible.
