TCL C8L (High-Definition Televisions)
The C8L occupies the mid-range segment of TCL’s 2026 lineup, below the X11L series and above the C7L. Its eighth-generation SQD Mini LED backlighting combines blue LEDs with Super Quantum Dot quantum dots, an approach that avoids the Color CrossTalk of RGB panels while multiplying the dimming zones with an equal number of diodes.
This density results in precise local contrast control: from 1,008 zones on the 55-inch model to 4,032 on the 98-inch model, with peak brightness ranging from 3,000 to 6,000 cd/m² depending on the screen size. The WHVA 2.0 Ultra panel broadens viewing angles and handles reflections better, two usual weaknesses of LCDs.
The rest of the features cover home theater as well as gaming: full BT.2020 spectrum, Super Resolution 2.0 processing, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatibility, native 144 Hz panel, and four HDMI 2.1 inputs. The 2.2.2 sound system is tuned by Bang & Olufsen, with Dolby Atmos FlexConnect support. Five screen sizes are available, from 55 to 98 inches, running Google TV.
