Eversolo expands its TV app to Samsung televisions

February 01, 2026

After Android TV and Apple TV, the Eversolo Control ART display app is now arriving on Samsung TVs equipped with Tizen OS. This third variant completes the multi-platform strategy of the Chinese manufacturer, a subsidiary of Zidoo.

A response to a concrete problem

All Eversolo network players, whether the DMP-A6, DMP-A8, DMP-A10 models or the PLAY range, feature a touchscreen on the front. On paper, a 6-inch display showing the album cover and metadata sounds appealing. In practice, this information remains unreadable from a sofa several meters away. The cover shrinks to the size of a postage stamp, and the technical details become indecipherable.

The TV app solves this limitation by offloading the display to the living-room television. It shows the album cover in the center of the screen, along with the title, artist, streaming protocol used (Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Apple Music, Roon), and sampling rate. A color gradient extracted from the artwork decorates the background, improving legibility compared to some competing solutions.

Rollout timeline

The first version, designed for Android TV, appeared in August 2025. It works on TVs running Google TV as well as on set-top boxes such as Chromecast with Google TV. The tvOS version, called Eversolo TV Art, followed a few months later and has just been officially released on the App Store at the beginning of 2026.

The arrival on Samsung TV meets a logical demand: Tizen OS powers a significant share of the global installed base of connected TVs. Samsung claims a leading position in the TV market for nearly two decades, and its proprietary operating system represents a key platform for audio-video app developers.

Operation and limitations

The app automatically connects to Eversolo players on the local network. It detects compatible devices (DMP and PLAY series) and displays playback information in real time. The minimalist design avoids visual overload: no visible timecode, just a discreet progress bar at the bottom of the screen.

It should be noted, however, that there is a limitation: the app does not allow browsing through music libraries or streaming services. It is restricted to displaying playback information. Music control still goes through the Eversolo Control mobile app or the player’s own touchscreen. The name “Control” is therefore somewhat misleading, since it is really a display app.

Positioning against the competition

Eversolo was the first to offer this type of app for Android TV, getting ahead of players like FiiO. WiiM already offered a tvOS app, but Eversolo now covers the three main smart TV platforms.

Sonos, though more established in the multiroom market, does not offer an equivalent. This feature adds concrete usefulness to Eversolo products beyond pure audio performance. For owners of a DMP-A6 (around €860), DMP-A8 (around €1,500), or DMP-A10, the app is a free add-on that turns the TV into a remote display.

Installation

The app will be available on the Samsung TV App Store for TVs running Tizen OS. Installation is performed directly from the TV’s interface, with no special steps required. Once launched, the app automatically searches for Eversolo players connected to the same Wi‑Fi network.

For Samsung users who wanted to take advantage of this feature, the solution until now involved adding an external device (Chromecast with Google TV or Apple TV). This extra step is no longer necessary.
