Overview
The Primare Allt-i-Ett brings together in a single chassis a network player, an amplifier, and a set of speakers—functions that previously required multiple separate devices. At 69 cm wide, it’s suitable for a first hi-fi setup or for equipping a secondary room. It incorporates ten drivers, digital processing, and various connectivity options. This Swedish system offers an integrated approach to home audio.
Ten speakers and three hundred watts in a compact format
The Allt-i-Ett’s chassis measures 690 mm wide, 303 mm deep, and just 150 mm high when the screen is lowered. These dimensions place it between a traditional soundbar and a pair of compact speakers. Its 16 kg weight reflects solid construction.
Inside, Primare has integrated a true multi-configuration speaker system. Six 10 cm woofers handle bass and lower mids: two facing forward, two to the rear, and two downward. This layout aims to create a diffuse sound field in the room rather than classic directional projection. Two 10 cm midrange drivers and two 19 mm tweeters with waveguides complete the array for mid and high frequencies.
Total amplification reaches 360 watts, with a stated peak of 300 watts. Each driver receives its own amplification, allowing precise control of every element. The power supply is fully integrated into the chassis, with no external brick. In normal operation, the system draws 18 watts; 5 watts in standard standby, and less than 0.5 watt in ECO mode.
Aesthetics remain true to Primare’s design language: clean lines, balanced proportions, and a restrained finish. The top panel houses touch controls and the two displays. The unit blends naturally into a contemporary living room, whether placed on furniture or wall-mounted.
BACCH 3D: spatial audio developed at Princeton
One of the Allt-i-Ett’s technical highlights is the integration of BACCH 3D Sound, developed at Princeton University by Professor Edgar Choueiri. This approach is based on a physical principle: when a stereo system plays through two speakers, each ear picks up not only the signal intended for it, but also that from the opposite speaker. This phenomenon, called interaural crosstalk, prevents the brain from correctly perceiving the spatial cues present in the recording.
BACCH uses sophisticated digital filters to cancel this crosstalk. Unlike earlier attempts of this kind, which colored the sound or created an extremely narrow sweet spot, BACCH filters operate in the frequency domain with precision that avoids tonal distortion. The result: a three-dimensional soundstage where instruments and voices can appear to unfold in front of, above, or even around the listener, without requiring additional speakers.
In the Allt-i-Ett, this technology works with any stereo or binaural content. It reveals spatial information already present in recordings but masked by traditional loudspeaker playback. Acoustic jazz or classical recordings gain depth and precise localization. Modern studio productions also benefit from the enhanced spatialization.
Adaptive digital processing and multimode EQ
The built-in DSP provides several acoustic optimization tools. The Auto Room EQ function analyzes the environment via the Prisma app and a microphone (native iOS mic or Zen mic for Android). The system measures frequency responses, identifies room resonances, and applies automatic correction. This quick process delivers a balanced response without requiring technical expertise.
For those who prefer manual tuning, an 11-band graphic equalizer allows adjustments to key frequencies. Settings are saved per source, offering different sound profiles depending on content type or listening preferences.
The system offers three placement modes that adapt reproduction to furniture position: free-standing (in the middle of the room), near a wall, or in a corner. Each mode modifies bass management to compensate for natural reinforcement from reflective surfaces. This feature is particularly useful in constrained spaces where optimal placement isn’t always possible.
A subwoofer output with full low-frequency management lets you add an active subwoofer to bolster low-end authority. The system then automatically manages the crossover between the Allt-i-Ett and the sub, with adjustable cutoff frequency and level.
Universal connectivity: from vinyl to high-resolution streaming
The Allt-i-Ett centralizes access to all contemporary audio sources. The HDMI eARC input retrieves TV audio in stereo PCM up to 24-bit/48 kHz, positioning the system as a credible alternative to soundbars. Two optical and one coaxial inputs accept digital signals up to 32-bit/192 kHz. A USB-A port plays audio files from a thumb drive or external hard drive (up to 2 TB), supporting PCM up to 768 kHz/32-bit and DSD up to DSD512.
The analog RCA input includes a switch to use it as a standard line input or activate the built-in MM phono preamp to connect a turntable directly. This eliminates the need for an external preamp for moving magnet cartridges—a welcome touch for vinyl enthusiasts.
The Prisma network module provides streaming via dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 or Ethernet. It natively supports AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Qobuz Connect, and TIDAL Connect, allowing control from each service’s native app. The Prisma app itself handles UPnP/DLNA servers on the local network, Internet radio, and provides direct access to Qobuz (up to 24-bit/192 kHz) and TIDAL MAX.
Bluetooth 5.0 supports SBC, AAC, aptX, and aptX-HD for receiving. When transmitting to wireless headphones, the system offers SBC and aptX. A 3.5 mm jack delivers 30 mW into 32 ohms for wired headphones.
Two built-in tuners receive FM and DAB+ stations with preset storage. Finally, 12V trigger and infrared outputs allow the system to be integrated into an existing home automation setup.
Dual interface: motorized display and multiplatform control
The Allt-i-Ett stands out with its dual-display system. A fixed touchscreen, always visible, provides quick access to essential functions: source selection, volume, playback. A second motorized display can rise from the chassis to show more information: album art, track metadata, visualizations, detailed settings. When not in use, it lowers for a discreet profile. This mechanism combines practicality and elegance: the screen appears when needed, then disappears to let the unit regain its clean lines.
The Prisma remote control comes with the system. It communicates via infrared and integrates HDMI CEC functions to also control the TV (power, volume). This integration simplifies daily use by reducing the number of remotes needed.
The Prisma app (iOS and Android) provides access to all settings from a smartphone or tablet: source navigation, DSP configuration, EQ, auto calibration, multiroom management. The clear graphical interface makes it easy to discover content and create playlists.
This variety of controls lets each member of the household interact with the system according to their preferences: direct touch, traditional remote, or mobile control.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the Allt-i-Ett with headphones?
Yes, you have two options. The front 3.5 mm jack accepts any standard wired headphones and delivers 30 mW into 32 ohms. For wireless listening, the system can transmit audio via Bluetooth to compatible headphones, using SBC or aptX depending on your headset’s capabilities. Both options let you listen without disturbing others.
Is it necessary to add a subwoofer?
The six integrated 10 cm woofers already provide solid low-frequency reproduction for music and movies. However, if your room is large or you want even deeper extension in the very low frequencies, the dedicated subwoofer output lets you connect an active sub. The system then automatically manages the frequency split between the Allt-i-Ett and the sub for seamless integration.
Can I connect my turntable directly?
Absolutely. The RCA input has a switch to activate a built-in MM (moving magnet) phono preamp. If you have an MM cartridge, connect your turntable directly to this input and enable phono mode in the settings. For MC (moving coil) cartridges, you’ll still need an external phono preamp, which you then connect to the RCA input in line mode.
How does the automatic room calibration work?
The Auto Room EQ function is activated from the Prisma app. On iPhone or iPad, the built-in microphone is sufficient. On Android, an external Zen microphone is required. The app guides the process: place your mobile device at your usual listening position, start the measurement, and the system plays test signals and analyzes them to calculate the optimal acoustic correction. The operation takes a few minutes and can be repeated if you change the room layout.
Do the placement modes really make a difference?
These three modes (free, wall, corner) compensate for natural bass reinforcement caused by nearby surfaces. A speaker placed against a wall gets a boost in the bass due to reflections; in a corner, this effect is even stronger. The modes adjust the frequency response to maintain tonal balance regardless of installation constraints. If you place the Allt-i-Ett in a corner, the corresponding mode will attenuate the bass to avoid boominess or masking of the mids.
Can the Allt-i-Ett be integrated into a multiroom system?
Yes, via Primare’s Prisma ecosystem and supported standard protocols. AirPlay 2 enables simultaneous streaming to multiple Apple-compatible devices. The Prisma app manages synchronization among multiple Primare products on the network. UPnP/DLNA protocols also offer multizone streaming options depending on the server used.
