Overview
The VISION4 G2 BLM takes the fundamentals of Enova HIFI’s VISION4 series and adopts a more discreet surface finish that is less susceptible to fingerprints and reflections. This second generation retains all the technical characteristics that made the range a success: belt drive, built-in phono preamplifier, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
A classic and proven technical approach
Belt drive remains the preferred solution for hi-fi turntables, and for good reason: it mechanically isolates the platter from the motor, reducing the transmission of parasitic vibrations to the audio signal. The VISION4 G2 BLM displays a speed variation of ±1% and wow & flutter of less than 0.15%, respectable figures for this price range.
The tonearm is straight (rather than S-shaped), with an effective length of 218.5 mm. This type of geometry simplifies adjustments while offering a good compromise between tracking precision and ease of installation. The anti-skating system and tracking force adjustment allow the cartridge’s behaviour to be optimised.
The Audio Technica AT 3600L cartridge: a pragmatic choice
Audio Technica factory-fits the VISION4 G2 BLM with its AT 3600L cartridge, probably the most widely used in the world on entry-level and mid-range turntables. This is no coincidence: this moving magnet cartridge offers a balanced, slightly warm reproduction, without excessive emphasis in the high frequencies. Its conical stylus (0.6 mil) will not deliver the refinement of a high-end elliptical, but it remains tolerant of minor alignment imperfections and preserves grooves well.
The recommended tracking force of 3.5 g (±0.5 g) may seem high compared to high-end cartridges that go below 2 g. This is the usual trade-off of medium-compliance cartridges: firmer pressure ensures better tracking on heavily modulated passages, at the cost of slightly faster wear on the stylus and the vinyl. Nothing dramatic under normal use.
One interesting point: the AT 3600L accepts compatible replacement styli, including elliptical or even Shibata diamonds offered by third-party manufacturers. An affordable upgrade path for those who want to improve their turntable without changing the cartridge.
Modern connectivity for an analogue turntable
The built-in RIAA preamplifier is a practical asset. The Line/Phono selector on the rear panel allows switching between two modes: in the Phono position, the signal outputs at line level, directly usable by a standard hi-fi amplifier or active speakers; in the Line position, the internal preamp is bypassed to allow a higher-quality external phono preamplifier to do the work.
The Bluetooth output operates in transmission mode (not reception): the turntable sends the audio signal to a speaker or Bluetooth headphones. A practical solution for listening to vinyl without running cables across the living room, even if the quality of the Bluetooth codec falls short of a wired connection. The latency inherent to the protocol is not an issue for pure music listening.
The USB port enables vinyl digitisation to a computer. With software such as Audacity (free and cross-platform), it is possible to record records as audio files, split tracks, and reduce clicks and crackles. A more time-consuming process than one might expect, but rewarding for archiving a collection or transferring pressings unavailable on streaming platforms.
Assembly and setup
The turntable arrives partially disassembled: the belt, platter, and dust cover require manual installation. Nothing complex, but the manual deserves careful reading, particularly regarding counterweight adjustment. The tonearm markings stop at a level that does not correspond exactly to the recommended tracking force for the AT 3600L (3.5 g), which can cause confusion. A precision stylus force gauge (a few euros online) removes any ambiguity.
The smoked grey dust cover included effectively protects the platter and tonearm from dust. It is easy to remove for cleaning and is sufficiently opaque to reduce light reflections.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the AT 3600L cartridge be replaced by another cartridge?
The headshell accepts models with the standard half-inch mount, which is very widespread. Audio Technica (VM series), Ortofon (2M or OM series), or Nagaoka (MP-110) cartridges can be fitted without difficulty, provided that the weight and compliance are verified for compatibility with the tonearm.
What is the difference between the first-generation VISION4 and the VISION4 G2?
The main distinction concerns the finish: the first generation features a glossy lacquered finish (black or dark wood), while the G2 offers a matte coating (black or wood). The internal technical specifications remain identical.
What software should be used to digitise vinyl via USB?
Audacity remains the go-to free option for this type of use. It allows recording, track splitting, noise reduction, and export in various formats (WAV, FLAC, MP3). The connection is made via the included USB cable, with no additional drivers required on most systems.
What accessories are included with the turntable?
The VISION4 G2 BLM comes with the belt, external power supply, a 45 RPM adapter, a USB cable, and the smoked grey dust cover. A stereo RCA cable may be required depending on the intended setup.
